Dr. Josefina Tur

Dr. Josefina F. Tur started from humble beginnings, after graduating from Havana University in 1975 with her medical doctor's license. She began practicing medicine in Carlos J. Finlay hospital where she would work for 7 years before moving to Julio Aristegi hospital in Cardenas, Cuba, practicing medicine for another 7 years. In the year 1989, Dr. Tur decided to take a leap of faith, leaving Cuba for the United States in search of freedom and better opportunity.

After arriving in the United States, Dr. Tur began her journey in regaining her medical license . After 4 years of hard work she was finally able to gain the license required to follow her one true passion in life, medicine. As soon as Dr. Tur became licensed in the United States she opened up her own practice, Dr. Tur has now been serving her community for over 29 years, and has been working as a USCIS civil surgeon for over 20 years. Remembering her story, Dr. Tur has made it her mission to help fellow immigrants chasing the American dream. Here at Josefina. F. Tur M.D. P.A. We are devoted to offering the best possible service to all immigrants seeking permanent residence status in the United States.

Yuliet Suarez Prado A.R. N.P.

Yuliet Suarez started her career in medicine after graduating from Facultad de Ciencias Médicas in Guantanamo, going on to work at Octavio De la Concepcion y la Pedraja hospital as a general doctor for two years. Finally after deciding to make the move to the United States, Yuliet worked diligently to become a registered nurse. Yuliet went on to quickly begin to work at Select Specialty Hospital of Miami Lakes and Kendall Hospital as a full-time registered nurse.

Being a hard worker, Yuliet continued her education and obtained her APRN license two years after becoming a registered nurse. She went on to work at Jackson hospital after obtaining her APRN license and is also currently a part of the Josefina F. Tur M.D.P.A. medical team. Yuliet is DOT certified by the National Registry and has been an amazing part of our team. Patients frequently give Yuliet outstanding reviews because of her professionalism and consistent commitment to the practice of medicine.

Jorge Rodriguez A.R. N.P.

Since a young age Jorge Rodriguez has always had a passion for medicine; so it came to no surprise when his mother Josefina F. Tur first opened her clinic, he was immediately on board and joined the team at the age of 18. Jorge has experience working in the daily operations of every department at Josefina F. Tur M.D. P.A. Encouraged by his interest in medicine, Jorge decided to attend University to become a nurse. He graduated with his Bachelor's degree in nursing in 2017, and immediately after graduating joined the Jackson Hospital Neonatal care team for a year, before switching to the neuro department where he would practice for 5 years. While working on the Neuro ICU team at Jackson, Jorge continued his education earning his degree in the Masters of Science in Nursing.

Jorge Rodriguez recently rejoined the Josefina F. Tur M.D. P.A. team as an APRN, who is board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, as an FNP to help out our medical team while exercising his passion for medicine. After rejoining Jorge became certified to perform DOT examinations and has been a major part of our team.
